Cookie Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

This legal document is provided in English.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

This Cookie Policy explains how IndustryShop ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our platform.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for these purposes:

  • Essential: Keeping you signed in to the application. See section 3.1.
  • Performance and analytics: Understanding how visitors interact with our platform, in aggregate. See section 3.2.
  • Preferences: Remembering settings you chose, such as language and currency. We use your browser's local storage for this rather than cookies. See section 6.
  • Attribution: Recording which campaign or referral brought you to us, so we can tell which ones lead to new accounts. Also local storage. See section 6.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in.

This marketing website sets no cookies of its own. Essential cookies are set when you sign in to the application, by our Keycloak identity server, which handles authentication on its own domain. They keep you signed in for the duration of your session and protect the sign-in exchange itself. Because they are set by the identity server rather than by this site, their exact names and lifetimes are determined by that software and its configuration.

3.2 Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. They are set by Google Analytics 4.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics - distinguishes users 2 years
_ga_BMY7SQWDMR Google Analytics - maintains session state for our property 2 years

If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and neither of these cookies is set. See section 7.

3.3 Functionality

We remember your preferences - such as your chosen language and currency - in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. These items are listed in section 6.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. The third parties that set them are:

  • Google Analytics: For website analytics and performance monitoring, on the pages of this site. Not loaded when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
  • Soro: For the assistant embedded on our blog page.
  • Stripe: For secure payment processing. Stripe is used when you make a payment in the application and hosts the checkout page itself; it is not loaded on this marketing website.

Please refer to these third parties' privacy policies for more information about their cookies.

5. Managing Cookies

5.1 Browser Settings

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may impact your experience on our platform and limit certain functionality.

5.2 Browser-Specific Instructions

For information on how to manage cookies in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

6. Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies:

  • Local Storage: Stores data locally in your browser for improved performance
  • Session Storage: Temporary storage that is cleared when you close your browser
  • Pixel Tags: Small images used to track user behaviour and measure campaign effectiveness

This website stores the following items in your browser. None of them contain your name, email address, or any other personal identifier, and none are sent to third parties.

Storage Key Purpose Duration
industryshop_lang Remembers your chosen language Until you clear your browser storage
industryshop_lang_user_picked Records that you chose a language yourself, so we stop guessing it Until you clear your browser storage
industryshop_currency Remembers the currency you selected for pricing Until you clear your browser storage
industryshop_team_size Remembers the team size you selected on the pricing calculator Until you clear your browser storage
industry_visitor_country Caches your country so we can show local pricing without re-checking Until you clear your browser storage
industryshop_plans, industryshop_plan_matrix Caches our published plan and pricing data (session storage) Until you close the browser tab
ish_attr_first The campaign parameters and referring website from your first visit Until you clear your browser storage
ish_attr_last The campaign parameters and referring website from your most recent visit Until you clear your browser storage

The last two items record how you found us, so that we can measure which campaigns and referrals lead to new accounts. When you follow a link from this site to our application, that campaign and referral information is passed along in the link so it can be recorded against the account you create. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, these two items are not written at all.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. This website honours that signal. When it is set:

  • Google Analytics is not loaded at all, so no analytics cookies are set and no page views are reported.
  • We do not store the ish_attr_first or ish_attr_last items described in section 6, so nothing about how you found us is remembered between pages.

Campaign parameters that are already in the address of the page you are on - for example, the tracking code an advertising network adds to a link you clicked - are still carried through to our application if you follow a link to it. That information came from the link you followed rather than from anything we observed about you.

The preference items in section 6 that make the site work the way you set it up, such as your language and currency, are still stored, because they only reflect choices you made on this site.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
